Road to Mumbai

We decided to visit Mumbai all of a sudden. Didn't get any time to roam in Mumbai at all, but the Bangalore - Mumbai route was exciting. Given below some videos taken en-route.

Singapore : A city which can't be made better

It all started with our boredom-breaker trip to Bangalore International Airport for a ride and a coffee.

Bangalore Intl Airport
Our ZMR near BIAL
While sipping our coffee at the Cafe' Coffee Day near the Terminal, the wicked idea of going a trip abroad christened in her mind. Soon it was a relentless flow of ideas in her mind, as to which is the best place to go, and she was dreaming of Singapore soon. I had just one thought in my mind : why did we come to the airport itself, when we had so many other places to go. It was not because I had fear of flying but because my balance book reported frequent deficits :(

Thinking this way and that way and considering so much of factors we finally reached on a conclusion out of the confusions to -'go'. I mean, I decided to go. She'd decided as early as while she was having the coffee. And these cheaters -airlines people- always lure us by showing some offers which make us feel tickets are cheaper than peanuts.

Next day I was welcomed by two printed e-Tickets of Tiger Airways lying on the table when I was back from the office. We were to travel on Jan 14, 2013 and would be back by 24th - 10 days we'd spend in Singapore.

As my managers were very keen in keeping myself busy at office and tensed at home all the time, our 'tour-planning' was a failure. We somehow managed to catch the flight on time.

We boarded Tiger airways flight no: TR2649

<This is going to be a long travelogue( I hope so). I'm adding to it as I get time to write something >

Spotting a GSX R near our apartment ('block' in Singaporean) on the first day

This cute Mazda was the first good thing we saw every morning for 9 days!!

I found it difficult to get proper sleep after seeing the Evo X late in the evening

We reached before time for the show... shopping mall near an MRT station

Ngee Ann City, Orchard Rd

The port is beautiful and busy round-the-clock

Singapore Flyer and F1 track from SkyPark, Marina Bay Sands...

Infinity pool and beach on top of Marina Bay Sands...

One costs a meagre 70,00,000/- INR

Marina Bay Sands

In Singapore Metro. Oops.. they call it MRT for Mass Rapid Transport

Raffles Place is a baffling place. You'll have to bend your neck 90deg to see the buildings properly.

This is what you see, when you look up

To highlight the building they had to light a bit 'high'

Another '1-Dimensional' Building in Raffles Place

I was trying to fill up the gap of a 'cargo-handling' supervisor.

That's the proud bystander of a matte-black SLK...
I would be ready to spend all the day at the Fullerton building's parking lot, if allowed.
That's finger-licking sweet...
We spent some time enjoying the live performance by this young singer, in Esplanade. It's illegal to not sit and enjoy the music here. Your conscience will blame you later, otherwise. We've uploaded the video at : <YouTube URL>

Live performance in 'Esplanade - Theatres By the Bay'
Have you ever wondered how they manage to perform so well? This is how.
The making of a performer...

Started snapping some nice bikes we couldn't help finding all the time.

I dreamed of Evo X every night after seeing it in the evening.

Louis Vuitton Showroom, Museum, F1 track, Esplanade... it's all around here...

A 'small' planter at the Marina Bay Sands

They were celebrating 'year of the dragon'

Just another way to the MRT station

Raffles Place from the Merlion

The Merlion

Marina Bay Sands from the other shore...

We had this tea just because at One Fullerton half litre of bottled water costs 3 dollars :)

Everybody's welcome...

Starting to see the lights...

Fullerton is gorgeous at night too...

Flyer adds colour to Singapore

Festival of lights

This is a sight you shouldn't miss

Dinner at the 'Esplanade'

It is one confusion we all like to have as many times in our lives as possible - whether to look at the Ferrari or the Lambo when both are blasting through the road before you. In Orchard Road, you get into still better confusions. Should I choose to enjoy the beauty of an Aston Martin stopped before the mall or the Maserati joining the main road from the small side road? I would tread the Orchard's walkway all the day to see these beauties and listen to their throttle notes, unless I had to catch up with my impatient companions.
